I thought this would be a pretty ordinary place to visit but I was really surprised. Hundreds of cactus varieties and top commentary. Worth a visit.
A real surprise. This place was great. Unfortunately the cactus were not at their flowering best due to the time we visited, we were teased with some sneaky flowers. A real labour of love has gone into this garden. The opal shop is small, but...More
A passionate person created this nursery and it is obvious form the outset. Like the rest of the touristy sights in Lightning Ridge you may wonder if you're getting what you pay for. Sadly, probably not considering the location, but still basically worth the time...More
The cactus garden is amazing, and the owner is friendly & knowledgeable. A must do when you visit Lightning Ridge!
A true living monument to a couple who developed and nurtured this garden. A real family run attraction and the son was very helpful in explaining the history of the garden as wellas interesting facts about cactii. A very worthwhile place to visit and relax...More
So interesting and beautiful. A must see when visiting Lightning Ridge. The owner is the son of the founder and is passionate about keeping this wonderful garden going. Well worth a visit.
Please do not miss this stop! You can get to it by driving the Blue Car Door Tour. The cactus are amazing and the opals are beautiful and good prices! The owners are the best ever and so very gracious!
We really did like the cactus garden, it's well presented, but it's not big and, as such, only took about 20 minutes to wander through. So I think $10pp for it is too much.
A fascinating place for anyone interested in cactus. The owner started the garden and has the most amazing selection of plants that are huge. Would certainly visit again.
Lovely place, fascinating garden. Well worth the admission and very well kept.small shop, but only takes cash.
We turned up and joined a bus tour from Queensland. We were led around the garden and was astounded not only on the number different plants in this small garden but the length some people go to for something they truely love. It is an...More
Fascinating collection of cacti well presented and John was happy to share information about the collection. It would be even better when more were flowering.
If you love Cacti, then you will love this attraction. Would be great when in flower. Easy to get around.
